Think of Occupational Therapy (OT) for chronic illness as a mix between a counsellor and a life coach with specific skills and experience to help you maximise your functional capacity and quality of life to get you back to the things you want and need to do. Our Director, Emma, has experience supporting people with many chronic illnesses and can help you to pivot back to better physical, social and emotional health. 

Emma is an AHPRA and Medicare registered practitioner with a passion for providing goal centred care for people with “invisible illnesses”.

Emma has experience with the following:

• Long COVID and ME/CFS (Chronic Fatigue) management
• POTS management
• Post-concussion syndrome including management of memory loss, difficulty concentrating, headaches and migraine
• Memory or cognitive concerns related to other illnesses
• Post-viral recovery (eg. COVID, Influenza and Glandular Fever)
• Managing with poor mental health
• Physical and cognitive fatigue & energy management
• Graduated return to work and/or study plans
• Building a sustainable routine after illness and beyond
• Motivational intervention for behaviour change/activation
• Equipment/AT assessment to improve quality of life
• Getting back to the things you love doing
• Helping you get the most out of your life
