Telehealth Appointments & Private Billing

Most of our appointments are conducted via Telehealth video call with in person appointments offered when clinically necessary.

We are located in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne. Travel fees may apply depending on your location.

PivOT Health is a private billing clinic meaning payment is required for all sessions on the day of the appointment. We are unable to hold accounts. If you have any concerns about payment please reach out to us at any time.

We can see Private, Medicare and NDIS clients - please read on or contact us for more information.

Initial Assessment & Goal Setting

Your first appointment is 60-90 minutes long and will cover your background history, current concerns and a discussion about setting goals for what you want to achieve with occupational therapy intervention.

We are located in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne. Travel fees may apply depending on the appointment location and are charged in 5 minute intervals as a portion of the hourly rate (eg. 15 mins = $48.49).

Return travel will be charged if you are the only client of the day, or the last client of the day.

Concession Rates

Concession rates can be discussed for those who hold a current Australian concession or health care card. You will be asked to provide a copy of your card during the intake process.

Medicare, Private health & NDIS

Medicare rebates

To be eligible for Medicare rebates, you need to have a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan prepared by your GP that includes Occupational Therapy.

These plans are often also referred to as GP Management Plans (GPMP), Team Care Arrangements (TCA) or Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Program.

This plan entitles you to a rebate of $56.00 from Medicare for a maximum of 5 sessions per calendar year. You can claim this rebate online via the Medicare online portal after you have paid PivOT Health for your session in full.

Please note:

  • We require a copy of your plan before your first appointment
  • Consultation fees listed above still apply and are required to be paid on the day of the appointment.
  • Once paid, we will provide you with a receipt to manually claim your reimbursement via Medicare.

For more information about these plans or claiming the Medicare rebate, please visit https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/medicare-online-account-help-submit-claim

Private Health Insurance

You may be eligible for private health rebates through your "extras" insurance. Please contact your health fund directly to discuss if your cover includes Occupational Therapy and advise us at the time of intake.
