Occupational Therapy

Do I need a referral?

You do not need a referral to see us if you are privately paying or if you have an NDIS plan. However, if you have a Chronic Disease Management plan from your GP, we will need a copy so you can claim the rebate through Medicare. Please click on the button below for more information.

How many sessions will I need?

Because everyone’s goals and needs are unique, there are no set number of sessions. Please contact us so we can understand your individual situation and provide more information and guidance regarding how many sessions may be required. 

Why can’t I see you face to face?

Most of our appointments are conducted via Telehealth video call with in person appointments only offered when clinically necessary. This is due to recognising the significant fatigue many of our clients are experiencing and the difficulties they often have travelling to and from appointments. 

Where are you located?

We are located on Wurundjeri Country, Naarm Lands - Melbourne, Victoria.

Why do you need my personal information?

To ensure we comply with Victorian Healthcare Standards, we need to be able to identify you with at least 3 points of identification. This includes your name, date of birth and address. We also need your background social and medical history to ensure we can provide you with individual therapy and guidance that can specifically help you, rather than being general in nature. What is your cancellation policy?

At PivOT Health, we understand that sometimes life changes and therefore appointments need to as well. Please provide as much notice as possible and a minimum of before 9am on the day of the appointment to avoid a cancellation fee.

I can't afford your service, what can I do?

Please reach out! We are more than happy to discuss your circumstances further.

You may be eligible for Medicare rebates or concession rates if you hold a current Australian concession or health care card.

Do you see NDIS participants?

Yes, we are more than happy to support NDIS participants who have Occupational Therapy in their funding and Self-manage their NDIS plan or are Plan-managed. Please note we are unable to see participants who are NDIA-managed. If you are unsure about this, please feel free to reach out and ask us to help you.
